After watching On Native Soil, my perspective on the whole 9/11 situation changed. At first I thought the terrorists were the only reason the towers went down. Now it still is their fault but a lot of it is to be blamed on the ignorance of the FAA and insufficient security at the airports. In two different occasions when medal detectors went off, security just let the terrorists pass. While the whole hijacking situation went down, the FAA seemed to have little motive to do anything. During the take over, it seemed that they just sat back and let it all go down. Now I don't know how efficient the FAA is today if a situation went down such as 9/11 but it does at least seem the security in airports have drastically improved, hopefully stopping another attack from occurring.

I agree with you that there is something more this country could have done, with that said most of the fault falls on the terrorist group. no matter who you are no one is aloud to go and murder 3,000 people. this world isn't perfect but there is still no excuse.
