Kim Jung Un has made a new declaration that nobody in North Korea can have the same name as him. He now has it set up so that any birth certificates would be rejected if it had the same name on it as "The Supreme Leader" and that anyone in the country with the same name as him would have top change their names immediately. I think that this is a ridiculous law that has been created, and that nobody would even want to name their kids after that man anyways.
The interview, a new movie that was supposed to be released this year, was cancelled because of terrorist threats and fear of Americans being killed during the premier. A group of North Korean hackers released private emails between producers and movie executives belittling many famous actors and actresses, including Channing Tatum, Kevin Hart, and others. I believe that the Government should not have to be in fear of releasing a movie just because of threats from North Korea. Instead, they should just make sure that the nation is secure and play whatever movies that they please.

I think that the gender stereotypes in our culture are derived from the fundamental differences. I think that people think people act a certain way from things that experience and very much so from television and the internet. I think that television is a major influence because most people watch tv growing up or read/hear about things and how people act. They connect those things to the people who do them. When they see people like them they start making assumptions. I think that many people use stereotypes but I do not agree with them. People with strong stereotypes should open up to other things to show that their beliefs might not always be true.
The lions are now 10-4 with only 2 weeks left in the season, sitting atop the division. If the lions win the last two intradiviosional games, then we will gain a first round bye in the playoffs. All the lions have to do is not be the lions of past years and fall apart, albeit the old lions would fall apart at the beginning of the season.. and never look good at any point during the season. but the lions have for the third time in history obtained a 10-4 record, are in prime position to take the division.
Just from what we have seen of Fahrenheit 9/11, Michael Moore has made some very attacking claims on George Bush. I believe that much of what Moore is getting after is true. The problem is the way he's portraying his work; it's a little far fetched. The attacks Moore has made on Bush are very reasonable with evidence provided but the reasoning he uses is a little ridiculous. I understand why he's doing this, so he can more easily persuade unbiased viewers towards his view but for viewers such as my self I start to question what he's saying. Just from a basic standpoint I've mostly agreed with what Moore has been saying, especially with the outcome of the 2000 election and the lack of knowledge from President Bush. After providing all of the evidence, Moore continued to bash on Bush for no reason. He already made his point, why continue to override it. Overall I really like what Moore is trying to get at. People watching this really need to know there's a major bias in the production and they have to truly overlook it to really see what Moore is trying to portray without the useless bias.

In my opinion Michael Moore falsely accused President George W. Bush and was incredibly ignorant. Moore wanted to sabotage the views that people had of Bush and he made the incredibly sarcastic and over-exaggerated film called "Fahrenheit 9/11". This film is quite ridiculous and I am not sure why anyone would willingly watch it. I actually found this film quite offensive. The bias of this sad excuse for a documentary was so out of hand. Michael Moore is rude and clearly does not think about things before he says them. He even mentioned that the night before 9/11 President Bush "went to bed in fine French Linens"... can anyone tell me the relevance of that? His points that he made of George W. Bush were so disrespectful and portrayed Bush as unintelligent. Clearly Bush is not unintelligent because he made his way up to be President of the United States. Moore attempts at making it seem like all that President Bush did about terrorism was "go fishing" or "go on vacation". This was so beyond stupid I could barely even listen to it. Moore tried to say that Bush cheated the election by giving just a few points stating the Al Gore had won. He did not give enough evidence to support his claim whatsoever. During the events of 9/11 Moore claimed that instead of doing something Bush "took advantage of his photo opportunity"; that's a load of crap. Bush cares about the United States and didn't continue reading to the children just because of the "Photo Opportunity". Moore continued to put false thoughts into President Bush's head by saying that he was thinking during the attacks things such as "I hung out with the wrong people". No. Bush was not responsible of the attacks of 9/11 and the blame cannot be put on him like Michael Moore is trying to do. It is not all one persons "fault". There was a lot of confusion on September 11th, 2001 and a lot of mistakes were made as well. No one can predict the future. Moore even tried to say that Bush didn't read a "security briefing" when he became president... Who is Michael Moore to make that claim? Moore's documentary was what I thought to be pathetic; I have no respect for him at all. I don't understand how something like this documentary was ever published in the first place.
After watching Fahrenheit 9/11 I really don't like Michael Moor, I don't think it is appropriate to talk so much trash about our once commander and chief especially after such a traumatizing event that hurt so many people and this country. I understand that big government officials don't always say the nicest things to each other but they are at least contributing to this country and dedicating their time. I disagree with so many things Mr. Moor pointed out especially when he was making fun of the president for sitting there quietly when he heard the news of the terrorist attack on 9/11 while he was at the elementary school. The President did the right thing, he sat there for a few moments thinking so he didn't scare or worry the children and teachers and then he excused himself and asked to be taken to Washington. That is what happened, I have no idea where Michael Moor got his story from but it sounds ridiculous to me.

After watching On Native Soil, my perspective on the whole 9/11 situation changed. At first I thought the terrorists were the only reason the towers went down. Now it still is their fault but a lot of it is to be blamed on the ignorance of the FAA and insufficient security at the airports. In two different occasions when medal detectors went off, security just let the terrorists pass. While the whole hijacking situation went down, the FAA seemed to have little motive to do anything. During the take over, it seemed that they just sat back and let it all go down. Now I don't know how efficient the FAA is today if a situation went down such as 9/11 but it does at least seem the security in airports have drastically improved, hopefully stopping another attack from occurring.
Recently the government released news of what was going on at Guantanamo bay after the 9/11 attacks. Apparently we have been torturing known terrorists for information. I personally don't agree with torturing but right after the 9/11 attacks I would have wanted to get back at the terrorist group for what they did and inflicting pain on them sounds like something they deserve. I disagree with the fact that they shared this information with the public, I think what the CIA does should stay private to protect us from things that we shouldn't know about.
I believe that the government could have prevented the 9/11 attack. They had knowledge that planes could be used as a bomb, and Bill Clinton had an opportunity to kill Osama bin Laden before in the 1990's but he did not. Teresa Wiltz was not right for dismissing the claims either.

Teresa Wiltz, in my opinion, should not have published her views on 9/11 so soon after the fact. She did not take into account the raw emotions that so many Americans were feeling. Viewing the attack of 9/11 from many different perspectives was very eye-opening. It brought up a lot of different emotions and I feel terrible for those whose family and friends were killed in the attack.
The film we have been watching "On Native Soul", I think is different then other documentaries I have seen. This is because it shows the story of how the government operated and how things didn't go right. It was interesting how they had different people with all different perspectives to show all the different views of the incident. I think it was a little too over done for such a dramatic day. They didn't let the day speak for it's self, they dressed it up too much with music and effects. Other than that it was well done.
